As a native of St. Louis, Missouri, Nicolette Klapp is more than just a local attorney; she is a longtime resident who has been actively involved in her community. After graduating from Kirkwood High School, Nicolette attended the University of Missouri – Columbia to obtain her bachelor's degrees in Biology and German. She continued her education on an honors scholarship at Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where she graduated in 2009.

It was during law school that Nicolette first distinguished herself as a force to be reckoned with in law. At Thomas M. Cooley Law School, she received certificate of merit awards in Constitutional Law II and Evidence. Soon after completing her law degree, Nicolette was invited to join a boutique law firm where she focused exclusively on family law issues and where she honed her legal skills in divorce and child custody cases of all types.

With The Buxner Law Firm, Nicolette is dedicated to assisting clients through their family law matters. She gives her personal attention and time to come to unique and creative case strategies that are tailor-made to her clients’ needs. She is a court-appointed Guardian ad Litem, or GAL, who represents the rights and best interests of minor children whose families are facing a legal issue. In this role, she acts as an impartial investigator in custody investigations to make a professional recommendation about both physical and legal custody decisions. She volunteers as a GAL in the St. Louis County Domestic Violence Court.
