Did you or a loved one experience negative side effects from taking Chantix®?

We are handling cases for Plaintiffs who have suffered serious medical problems while taking the smoking cessation drug, Chantix®.

The FDA notified patients and the medical community that it has required the manufacturer smoking cessation aid Varenicline (Chantix) to add a new Boxed Warning and develop a patients Medication Guide highlighting the risk of serious neuropsychiatric symptoms in patients using this product. These symptoms include:

  • Changes in behavior;
  • hostility;
  • agitation;
  • depressed mood;
  • thoughts and behavior; and
  • suicide

The drug is also associated with seizures and blackouts which can result in serious accidental injuries. Seizures and blackouts have yet to be addressed in the new Boxed Warning. Because Chantix did not come with stronger warnings, many users may not be aware that the symptoms they are experiencing or have experienced could be caused by this drug.

If you experienced any of these problems after taking Chantix and/or these symptoms worsened after taking Chantix, we want to talk to you.
